PT. Bintang Jaya Makmur (BJM) was established in Surabaya, Indonesia in 1975. Upon its conception, BJM initial objective was focused in the trading business of various agricultural commodity products, such as Coffee Beans, Cocoa Beans, Natural Rubber Sheets and various spices, to cater major industries, both in Indonesia and overseas, through the network of reputable Japanese and European Worldclass Trading Houses.
The overwhelming global demand of various mining products in early 2005 has attracted BJM to diversified and expand its core business into mining products business. Since then, BJM has deeply involved in the trading of Indonesian Steam Coal and supplying coal to various end users, such as Cement Plants, Paper Plants and Power Plants as well as various industrial usages for customers in Asia and locally. Starting in 2009, BJM has entered the manganese ore trading business with the support and joint coorperation with few concession owners in NTT and other areas.
Due to the need of getting closer to our loyal customers and as to provide better services, therefore BJM establish few representative offices and appoint local agents in Asia, eg. in Singapore, Seoul, Bangkok, Manila, Hongkong and China, to promote our steam coal and manganese ore products, as well as in monitoring the logistic of all our shipments.
